The Imani Foundation mission is to help inner-city youth explore, engage, and learn about Higher Education: to use community resources to educate inner-city youth about applying for college, taking entrance exams, essay writing, internships, and fellowships. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save lives through education.
The Imani foundation researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give inner-city youth a fighting chance against the threats to their right to pursue happiness: lack of knowledge, low wage jobs, and lack of experience. We stand firmly upon the belief that all people deserve the right to gain an education.
